"Die Flieger Pelzstiefel"

Made of leather with an inner fur lining the flying boots were designed for cold conditions. They were most commonly made in black leather, but brown types are to be found The early models were double zipped to ensure proper fitting, but later models as shown left) had only one zipper. The two zipped models are most sought after at the collectors marked. The doubled zipped were not produced after 1940.
The leather straps surround the stiefels top and ancle were made of leather. Their puropose was to ensure proper tight fit of the  boots.

Picture showing the white lambswool lining of these 'uberziehlpelzstiefel". There were also a model specially designed for use together with electrically heated flying boots. The difference with these models is only the electrical cord for heating. They used 24volts.
